SIFF wraps up Memorial Day weekend with the conclusion of ShortsFest weekend, as more than 150 short films have played the festival over the course of the last four days. Several short film package presentations will take place throughout the afternoon and evening.
The feature films also continue to give audiences much to laugh, cry, and shake their heads at, with diverse perspectives, stories, themes, and topics.
At all times, you can purchase tickets at the online SIFF box office.
The sortable online film guide and daily schedule is always a click away.
Day Twelve finds 25 feature films for you to check out and 4 short film programs today.
Here at Should I See It, we will try and see as much as we can, and share coverage from members of the Seattle Film Critics Society linked below. We are trying to make these Daily Journals one stop shopping for your SIFF experiences for 2018!
A FEW CAN'T MISS OPTIONS FOR TODAY:
BEE NATION | 78 Minutes - This inspiring documentary tells the story of six students competing in Canada's first-ever First Nations Provincial Spelling Bee, hoping for a chance to participate for the first-time ever in the National Championships in Toronto.
BELLE DU JOUR | 100 Minutes - Luis Buñuel's classic 1967 drama about a wife who works as a high-class prostitute while her husband is away at work, made Catherine Deneuve a star, and has become one of the French filmmaker's most acclaimed films, being named one of the "100 Best Films of World Cinema" by Empire magazine in 2010. The film is presented in a fantastic 4K restoration and screens one night only at SIFF 2018.
THE BLEEDING EDGE | 99 Minutes - Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering return to SIFF with the powerful The Bleeding Edge which analyzes the billion dollar medical industry, and looks at how innovation prospers and makes the impossible seem possible. Then asks, what are the real costs?
