SIFF moves into its second weekend with Short Films playing alongside feature-length ones, all weekend long. Throughout Memorial Day weekend, the ShortsFest integrates into SIFF events and festivities, unleashing over 150 short films over the course of four days. The films will be packaged together in feature-length presentations and, like the rest of SIFF, represent bold and innovative ideas from all corners of the globe. 

The feature films also continue to give audiences much to laugh, cry, and shake their heads at. A big slate arrives this weekend and below, you'll see what Day 11 has to offer you!

AN AFTERNOON WITH MELANIE LYNSKEY | SADIE SCREENING - The fantastic Melanie Lynskey comes to SIFF, live and in person, for "An Afternoon with Melanie Lynskey." A career retrospective will take place, Lynskey will take part in an interview and audience Q&A, and her new movie Sadie, shot in Everett, Washington, and directed by Seattle filmmaker Megan Griffiths, will be screened during the presentation.

LET THE SUNSHINE IN | 84 Minutes - Legendary filmmaker Claire Denis crafts a story around Juliette Binoche, who plays a Parisian woman, recently divorced, who is looking for new love and new beginnings.

SHORTSFEST PRESENTATIONS
The Kids Are Alright? showcases 7 short films sharing a vast array of the teenage and childhood experiences facing today's youth, from breaking down walls, finding a voice, and building resilience.

Post-Gay Everyday offers 5 shorts documenting the LGBTQ+ community as the films explore themes of family bonds, starting new relationships, and finding love in unique places.

Through Her Indigenous Eyes shares 8 films with an emphasis on viewing life through the eyes of indigenous women from around the globe.

WTF?! delivers 10 strange and far-ranging stories that almost defy description. These short films push boundaries, think outside the box, and offer experimental, audacious stories that have to be seen to be believed.

SUPA MODO | 74 Minutes - If you see it, you cannot forget it. Supa Modo tells the story of a young girl, faced with a terminal illness, who has her community rally around her and give her the dream she has of being a real-life superhero.

WON'T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? | 93 Minutes - Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville returns to SIFF with a look at the legacy of the beloved children's television icon, Fred Rogers - "Mr. Rogers." Receiving near unanimous praise from critics and audiences alike, some feel the Best Documentary Feature Film Oscar race for this year may already be over.
