Here is a quick and easy breakdown of all the new movies opening this weekend (films featured represent new openings in the Seattle area…limited and platformed national releases are featured below…)

Another Oscar hopeful with some big name firepower in the form of Clooney, Gosling, Giamatti, Tomei, and Hoffman finally arrives, arguably one of the most depraved films ever to play theaters gets its stateside release, Jackie Chan’s 100th film opens and the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robot toys we had as children fight it out for real at the multiplex.

Synopsis: At the beginning of the 20th century, China is in a state of crisis.
